Beverly Cooney Poznoski ( Actor )

Beverly Cooney Poznoski is very excited to once again perform with Theatre Du Jour, following
TDJ’s Murder at Café Noir and Bingo, the Winning Musical. Bev has been involved with theater
since a child, performing with several theatre companies including Murder Mysteries on Call,
Ilion Little Theatre, Rome Capitol Summer Stage, Players of Utica, Fulton Community Theatre,
Oswego Players, Baldwinsville Theatre Guild, CNY Arts and CNY Playhouse. She is also a
member of CNY Arts Top Hat Solutions Improv Troupe, as well as a performer in the Onondaga
Historical Association’s annual Ghost Walk. A few of her memorable performances are Thelma
Cates in ‘Night, Mother for which she received a 2016 SALT nomination, Fonsia Dorsey in The
Gin Game, the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet,
Marge Murray in The Laramie Project, Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a Pinhead and
Nurse Sandwich in The Elephant Man, ensemble in Godspell, and her favorite, Dr. Vivian
Bearing in W;t, for which she received an outstanding acting award from TANYS. Aside from
her family, Bev has had two passions in life…teaching and acting. She has been fortunate
enough to do both for many years. Although retired from teaching, Bev says she will NEVER
retire from the theater! That being said, she is looking forward to many more roles to come! As
always, Bev would like to thank her family and friends for their unending love and support.
